Project Officer – Recipe for Scouse

We are looking to appoint a project officer for our Recipe for Scouse Project, on a fixed term freelance basis. The officer will have experience of working with young people in the arts and be willing to work together with them to motivate and develop their skills. It is a hands-on post involving workshop supervision, as well as planning and preparation and supervision of staff and volunteers.
Position: Project Officer – Recipe for Scouse
- One day per week for 52 weeks from January to December 2014. You will supervise workshops from 4pm 6pm on Thursday evenings (excluding school holidays) and additional workshops where required. Workshops will be held in a central Liverpool location.
- Planning and preparation for workshops to take place on allocated day each week.
- Any presentations or screenings of final work, locations and times to be confirmed.
Pay: £6,240 fixed fee (£120 per day), inclusive of all travel and expenses (to be paid monthly on receipt of invoice).
About the project:
A Young Roots, National Heritage Lottery project with Disabled/Deaf young people aged 12-25 from Merseyside. The project is led by DaDaFest and the heritage partner is National Museums Liverpool. The young people will lead on the project direction and make the key decisions on project delivery. Recipe for Scouse will focus on the unique identity of Liverpool and its people. We seek to empower young people, though training and practical experience, using arts: improving their self-confidence, skills and accreditation to increase their future opportunities.
